Wiser-by-Feller and Digital Strom to matter gateway

Matter Gateway for Wiser-by-Feller and Digital Strom - P44-GW-MW

Announcement: New product, available soon

P44-GW-MW makes every Wiser-by-Feller installation ready for the Matter smart home with just a few button presses.

Installation is completely simple and requires no PC/tablet thanks to the built-in OLED display:

The Wiser-by-Feller installation is connected once: connect the P44-GW-MW to the WiFi router using an Ethernet cable, press the button, the Wiser WiFi module lights up in magenta, confirm, done!

The users of the installation can then independently establish the connection with the personal Matter controllers of their choice: Two clicks on the device, the Matter QR code appears, it is scanned with a Matter app (Apple, Alexa, Ikea, SmartThings, Google, Home Assistant, etc.), and all Wiser devices appear in the Matter smart home of choice.

If tenants change, the Matter connections can be easily removed – the base installation remains untouched and everything is ready for the next tenants.

The firmware is based on the modular "vdcd" and "p44mbrd" open-source projects from plan44.ch, which make it possible for customer-specific changes and extensions to be carried out by plan44.ch on request as well as by third parties.

Wiser-by-Feller – easy-to-install smart devices in the familiar Feller variety and quality

Wiser-by-Feller is a well-designed and durable system that increases comfort and security in your own home – without unnecessary, complicated, or expensive gimmicks. It can be installed in no time by any electrician and is therefore cost-effective.

P44-GW-MW makes the fixed Wiser-by-Feller installation part of your Matter smart home

The P44-GW-MW connects to the Wiser-by-Feller WiFi µGateway at the push of a button and then makes the supported device types available as Matter devices.

hue - colorful LED lights, wirelessly controlled

"hue" lights are colored LED lights from Philips/Signify, which can be wirelessly controlled via smartphone apps and third party software

P44-GW-MW makes hue lights become part of your light scenes. Create your multi-colored light scenes, then recall them by simply pressing the light switch.

The P44-GW-MW automatically detects and connects to the "hue" bridge by press of a button. Once connected, all hue lights appear as light devices. All normal hue functionality remains unaffected, you can still control the lights via hue mobile app, the hue cloud and third party apps. The monochrome hue "lux" and tunable white "ambient" lights are also supported.

Currently supported hue profiles:

Open Source - the basis of P44-GW-MW

P44-GW-MW is based on plan44.ch's "vdcd" virtual device connector daemon and "p44mbrd" plan44 matter bridge daemon open source projects, as well as the OpenWrt embedded Linux platform. Being based on open source, the P44-GW-MW allows third parties to contribute features and build their own versions for experiments and support of new hardware. "vdcd" and "p44mbrd" are not restricted to run on the P44-GW-MW but can be used on different platforms.

However, only buying the P44-GW-MW product from plan44.ch entitles you to get ready-to-use firmware updates from plan44.ch.
